Core Goals
|
The primary aim and purpose of the MTTEP project was to create a sustainable International Mobile Learning Network for Teacher Educators composed of people who are working with teachers in all phases to developing pedagogically effective ways of using mobile technologies.

Treasurer
Ray Kirtley is acting Treasurer for both a charity and a not for profit association both focussed on international & global education in schools which he recently established and who financial affairs he manages. At the University of Hull he co-ordinates an Erasmus + project and assists with other international projects within the School of Education. Contact Ray |
Research Secretary
Tony Hall is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Technology and Deputy Head of the School of Education, National University of Ireland: Galway. His research interests centre on the potential of design-based research (DBR) to support innovation and tech in education. He is involved with the DEIMP project and is a guest editor for the IJMBL |
Communications Secretary
Helen Caldwell is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton, where she is curriculum lead for primary computing in Teacher Education and programme lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Computing. Sarah Wright is a Senior Lecturer in education at Edge Hill University where she leads on TEL. She teaches on PG and UG programmes for ITE and working with children. Grace Oakley a teacher educator and researcher at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia. She is the course coordinator (MTeach: Primary) & Deputy Head of School (Education). She is interested in the relationships between literacies and tech and has conducted research on the uses of mobile tech to facilitate and transform children’s literacy learning. This research informs her ITE practice. |

Cornelia Connolly lectures at the National University of Ireland: Galway and her research interests are in mathematics and computer science education, and technology-enhanced learning. Having worked with Accenture in management and IT consultancy she returned to academia to pursue her research interests in education, technology, student retention and numerical competency. |

Bronwyn Desjardins Bronwyn has a background in IT systems admin and English teaching. She is currently the Educational Technology Coach and Resource Centre Co-ordinator at St Stithians Girls’ Preparatory where she has spearheaded the 1:1 iPad rollout. She is an ADE (Class of 2015) and ADE EMEIA Advisory Board member. Bronwyn runs workshops and presents at various IT Conferences around South Africa, and was awarded iTeacher at the Apple in Education awards in 2012. |

Ulf Frank Kerber is a researcher and lecturer in Social Science and Education Development for Primary and Secondary Schools at the University of Education Karlsruhe, Germany. His main focus is on Technology Enhanced Learning and the development and implementation of mobile learning scenarios. He also researches in the fields of media- and communications studies with a transdisciplinary perspective on the history of mass communication. |
The MiTE connection
Seán O'Gradaigh has a background in second-level teaching and educational technologies, He is currently employed as a Lecturer in Teacher Education in the School of Education, National University of Ireland: Galway. He developed and coordinated the first fully integrated 1:1 mobile device deployment on an Initial Teacher Education programme in Europe. Seán is an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) and an Apple Education Trainer. Seán is the founder and current chair of MiTE Conference (International Conference on Mobile Technologies in Initial Teacher Education)
